Stress in Modern Life

As everyone knows, stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is no way to avoid it. With the pace of modern life continuing to increase, we are always feeling on the go from morning till night. And it is hard to slow down. It seems to us that everyone around us is aggressive. Therefore, whatever one does, he feels under stress all the time. It is clear that stress has much to do with the life in a competitive society.

Different people, however, think of stress quite differently. Some believe that stress is not the bad thing it is often supposed to be. They are of the opinion that a certain amount of stress is necessary to motivate us and help us achieve our goals. They argue that without pressure, we would be like children, never growing up, lacking the sense of responsibility. It is pressure that makes us mature and pushes us to strive for excellence.

On the other hand, some people view stress as something very vicious. If there is too much of it, it will lead to the decline of one's physical and mental health. They believe that too much pressure can be a burden that presses our minds, making it hard to take a breath. Nowadays, the case of people committing suicide is increasing, which is a clear indication that stress can become a serious problem if not managed properly.

In conclusion, stress is a complex issue that has both positive and negative effects on our lives. While a certain amount of stress can motivate us and help us grow, too much stress can be harmful to our well-being. Therefore, it is important to learn how to manage stress and find a balance between pushing ourselves and taking care of our mental health.
